Killer Black Matte Liner

Yesterday was Dutchie time! Family, good food, good drinks, Awesome.
My niece was having a bit of an off day though so figured we’d do some dolling up, and she kindly allowed me to share the after-snap.
Meet my sugar plum, my sassy jelly bean kitten: Marit!

On the eyes! Bold smokes with the MUA Undress Me Too Palette.
Doesn’t she have an awesome eye shape?!
Top left as a highlight, top 2nd shade on the lid and inner corner, top 5th shade as a blending aid, and some matte black along the outer V to define!
Bad days call for liner to stab with right, that opaque matte black liner is Gosh’s Eyeliner Pen.
Lips Nougat Crisp liner from Gosh.
And last but not least: nothing on the face! She downright hates her freckles.
You are cute.

FOTD: Caramel Swirl

After a committed Inglot trip last month (20% off = grab ALL the liners, then proceed to be broke all day long, shadowing your friend while she’s shopping.) I couldn’t wait to try one of those sultry smokes combined with bright liner.
Stirring things up with a little swirl too, which Hippo seemed to love. Score!
Not sure if it actually looks caramel-y but my brain is currently preoccupied with salted caramel ice cream.. hmmm… couldn’t help it.
So here’s my weekend eye!

Spring Trends: Wet Look Smokey Eye

Time for a cool and modern spring trend – wet look eyes!
I started off with a Lisa Eldridge inspired smokey eye. It’s the full whammy: easy, edgy, and an ode to gorgeous smoked jewel tones.

FOTD: Deconstructed Smokey Eye

Still sticking with the laid back not-so-perfect idea here, and even going one step further today I suppose!
I grabbed a pigment with a dark smokey base and applied that liberally all around the eye with a damp brush.
We blijven nog even in de relaxte niet-zo-perfect sfeer, en gaan zelfs nog een stapje verder vandaag!
Ik greep een pigment met een donkere “smokey” basis en bracht dat vrijgevig rond het oog aan met een vochtige kwast.

Playtime: Alice Madness Returns

“You’re sufficiently qualified to kick some a- to boot these creatures’ nether regions”
Yesterday the most loving guinea pig mom in the world Amy said she’s going to a “pawty” this weekend.
But not just a pawty, she’ll be wearing a sweet (but little bit wacky) Alice costume, which made my imagination go into overdrive, hnnnngg!!
She instantly freed me by saying “go on and make a tutorial!”, I flew right over to my make-up stash!!!
Creative recharge mode activated!
The first thing that creeped to mind was the Alice Madness Returns game, one of the most bizar and imaginative games i’ve played so far this year.
The story is based on the original Alice In Wonderland when it comes to characters and.. well Wonderland.

MUD: Beauty Make-up Assignment

Hey little edemame!
Thought I would share with you one of the looks I did in class today!
The assignment was beauty make-up in under 45 minutes so that’s just a beautifying make-up style, nothing too editorial, and as fast as possible!

Trend Inspiration: Pastel Eyeshadow

I thought it would be fun to feature some spring / summer 2013 trends on here and how I would incorporate them!
Fingers crossed it’ll be somewhat inspiring or interesting.. ^_^
Let’s kick off with pastel eyeshadows!
They’re not exactly flashy and can therefore be a little draining.
Aaand I feel spiking it up with darker colors can help – a lot!
A smoked out bottom lashline got my vote but just lining the top will work too and keep it looking fresh!
To avoid chalkiness a cream base for the shadow to grab onto can do wonders. Wonders!
