Trial: Snake Bite

Some squirrely asked me to do her make up for a jungle themed party this Sunday. She’s looking for sort of a sexy snake!
Did a quick trial run – had to improvise for the scales though.
So that created sort of a leprous snake then.. D’:

Christmas Make Up: Favorite Way To Wear A Red Lip

December asks for vampy lips! Whether it’s a deep purple or a dark red, I love it!
And if there’s one thing I like to combine those with it’s dewy skin!
Of course you can aim for a healthy sleeping routine and whatnot but let’s be honest – thankfully you can fake it too.
A positively radiant morning shot first as always!
Eerst een superaantrekkelijke ochtend foto zoals altijd!

FOTD: Luscious Lagoons

Whipped out my Wet n Wild palette again today for a ridiculously easy turquoise gaze!
That eye pencil on the lower waterline just seriously reminded me of a beautiful lagoon… ahh..

Trend Inspired: Neon Eyeshadow

A second big trend this summer is neon u’rything!
Often combined with neutrals to make it more wearble.
*ding* figured that might also work on the eyes!
I absolutely love neons.. maybe it’s the 90’s kid thing.
Any other 90’s people out there that agree?
This whole shebang got me back into some perfecly kitschy 90’s music as well. :D

And Naomi just reminded me of this Daze one!!!

Did you listen to those as well?
Anywho! The big star of this show is my Sleek Acid palette again, but this time I tried using it in a more wearable way.
A challenge!
I combined two fun neon pops with a pretty shimmery lid.

FOTD: Gas masks and Gloss

My oh my.
A friend got me running to my make-up stash, digging for that black lipstick aaaall the way in the back.
Some Juna Helminen photography he linked got me all hyped up. Seemed like the perfect time to try out a black glossy lip!

FOTD: and all – that – jazz!

In the 1920s, a new woman was born. She smoked, drank, danced, and voted. She cut her hair, wore make-up, and went to petting parties. She was giddy and took risks.

She was a flapper.

After Les Misérables Hollywood is now once again bonkers about an era long gone. The Great Gatsby premiere in Cannes this year had celebs digging their stash (haha, as if) for vintage frocks and / or a perfect red lip.
Let’s have a look at the evidence!
cannes flapper inspired
That’s exuding vintage glamour right?
Which had me totally inspired to do a 20s look myself!
More specifically, a flapper look.

FOTD: Jafar likes smoke

Gold, red, black and purple!
Is it just me or do those colors scream “shiny gems”?
I’ve been seeing red and gold combos pop up all over, wanting to try them out for myself.
They’re such powerful shades.
However when seeing Amanda’s purple/gold combo, I just HAD to!
She made me!
I didn’t have Jafar in mind but I felt like he had to be included.
He definitely would’ve found this an extremely sexy look. ;)
