You know, I was just minding my own business, en route to my brand new (thrifted) pleated skirt. And suddenly a wild pair of fun stockings appeared out of the dryer!
Quest failed – new objective!

Ohh the thrill of getting new shoes. That box opening and the new smell.. hmmmm.. ^_^ it’s been a while (read: couple of months) since I went shopping, due to my school debt – yuk.
So this shopping spree felt OH so good to the soul.
Wanna see what I got? Wehew read on! :D

Hold me back! NO don’t! I’ve kind of been window shopping on and off the past couple of days. That’s what I do when the season changes.. it’s imprinted in my brain I think.
Oh hey the weather’s gone down a couple of degrees, getting colder, time to look for new stuff. Even when i’m not BUYING anything because i’m broke. (?)
Aaanywhoo.. I noticed loads of velvet and suede coming up! Which is awesome, because it’s soft and cuddly!
I therefore took the liberty of assembling my favorite.. cuddly… shoes from urbanog.com.
I recently found out about this website through Xsparkage on youtube, have to share it! TONS of fun non-leather shoes to be found there!
Those reminded me of a forest nymph for some reason!
Let’s go into whisper mode.. Pretty Lita-dupe!
I’m pretty much thinking of buying these straight on when I can… Lita -ahum- Leah boots, sounds too good!
As for the last pair, these don’t have any velvet whatsoever but.. well just look, you’ll know why I had to:
They have little flames/waves at the back!!
I wonder if more people have this issue with flip flops.. you know how those little ‘thongs’ between your toes can be either to hard or to big or whatevertheheck? For some reason I always get blisters from them.
However I just got flops that don’t do that! Hallelujah! They’re from Mixstar, and.. they have grapes on them!
The top is from.. way back when, no idea where I got it from! My skirt I just bought recently at who’s that girl (they design clothes in every color you could possibly imagine) and the Mixstar slippers are from a hippy market for 15 euros.. mine are from last year’s collection, but they seriously come out with new designs all the time.
However nothing beats real grapes on your feet!! Check these out:
That’s possibly the coolest pair of flops i’ve ever seen! And they’re platforms so they would give me a little height boost as well. >_<
You like? Or are they a little too much maybe?! :)
If anyone ever invents time travel, the first stop has to aim exactly five seconds after this post was published.
Anyway, small random post today! :)
I was wondering, do you know those moments that are like a déjà-vu, but then way beyond? Lasting for several minutes or longer?
That always makes me wonder. Especially if it happens on key moments.
Like after my interview a couple of days ago I had one as well, it lasted for what felt like ages. I could actually recall when I had the dream about it as well, it was about 2 months ago, it was an extremely vivd one.
Makes me think if I maybe wasn’t even supposed to get the job.
And why do we even have these déjà-vus? Are they “glitches” in time? Time is only perception anyway.. Or are they a look through the veil between different dimensions, maybe existing at the same time?
Such things I seriously break my head over at times. I try not to focus on them too much, because it’s incredibly frustrating not being able to answer them! However, if I may quote the words of a fellow-blogger:
” its an exploring process you see, one wouldn’t know what’s out there if we do not explore, just like i explored and found you, and i loved it, and thus the process goes”.
It’s good to imagine different paths!
On a different note, i’m really enjoying my Lita alternatives! I’d been wanting the real deal for ages, but those are leather. Not an option!
I didn’t really think of a vegan option for them either, just put the thought aside.
But then there was Amsterdam! Huha!
I got me a pair over there for around 30 euros, and they do it for me! ^_^
They’re just so comfortable for heels because they’re so sturdy, wore them out for dinner yesterday as well so here’s an outfit of the day!
We both like color!
Here’s some vegan options online if you’d like you some as well!
(Mine did run big, I had to put some soles in them, so maybe order them a size down.. imagine, the tip of the shoe is very high so you have tons of space!)
How funny! I had to include those! ^_^ this last seller by the way has a MASSIVE amount of vegan Jeffrey Campbell look-a-likes, and other cool shoes.
Check out his catalog here!
Tell me what you think about dèjà-vus below if you like, I love hearing about this kind of stuff!
On citytrips one generally develops blisters. Because shoes also need to look nice. No, to be honest, even in trainers i’ll get blisters. Truth is, when you wear the same pair of shoes for days on end while walking a couple of miles a day, the same spot on your foot keeps putting up with all the friction.
So what I like to do when walking a lot, is switch out my shoes every other day and usually in the evening as well.
One epic pair I found in Amsterdam, was a nice simple platrform Chelsea boot. These!
(easy to track down on ebay, seeing as they came from a trendy store that usually sells things at a price way too high when it’s also available for no money online, just because they can!)
However I just really liked the look of them, little did I know they would be saving my feet later!
The last 2 days I wore them non-stop. They even went with me to go see Madonna, you can see them “in action” here:
I can’t begin to tell you how comfortable these are, EVEN when you have feet that aren’t able to break in any shoes!! (If you plan on ordering them, you might want to get a size down though. They run pretty big, I put pads in mine.)
The essence of a Chelsea boot is that they’re ankle boots, that are incredibly easy to slip in and out of. And to be honest, I think these really work with any outfit… under long trousers, shorts, skirts, anything you can imagine. Any day and any time you want some fun comfortable footgear.
Personally I like the ones with a platform and a bit of chunkiness to them with a big heel (loving the awkward 90s heels!). The platform makes us short people almost look a decent size, and the chunky heel tones down anything too feminine. Makes it a little more cool! Not to mention the nice booty bump.
Because i’m so happy with mine, and I know what a pain in the butt it can be finding vegan shoes, I thought i’d share some pretty faux leather Chelseas on my blog! They’re mostly from ASOS.
Either these next ones are just plain ugly or they’re fun.. can’t decide. They have something about them though. Kind of a goofy vibe almost… They’re rainboots by the way, perfect excuse for trying them out!
The frumpy band on top of these are so flattering around your ankles I think:
Love the look of patent leather! Adds some interesting texture to any outfit:
These just look so comfortable:
Asos really is a great source for fun, modern vegan shoes! You have the option to type Chelsea boot in the search box, check the non leather box, and voilà! ^_^
Are you a fan of Chelsea shoes as well? Lemme know down below! :D
