Trial And Tell: Kruivat Salon Expert Droogshampoo

You think us females have clean hair 24/7? HAH oh dry shampoo our Lord and Savior!
I was rambling to a friend about looking like a walking snowstorm when using this one though, to which she responded with: venture forth and rid the world of this danger!
So off we go! Accio!

kruidvat droogshampoo
Packaging: do we have to? At least there’s some color in there, let’s keep this positive.
Size: 200 ml
Price: 1.99 euros
Ingredients: isobutane, corn starch modified, propane, alcohol, butane, parfum, benzyl salicylate, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol geraniol, linalool, butylphenyl, methylpropional, akoha-isomethyl ionone, limonene.
On to the product!
You’d better not be wearing a navy shirt, sitting on a dark couch, or wrestling with a black dog.. observe the fall out on this stuff:
Just bobbing my hair creates a winter wonderland!
Not to mention the fact that the particles are massive. JUNGLE massive.
As for the hair effect, letting it sit for 2 minutes..

Meanwhile I should probably tell you this product smells incredibly awkward – hairspray factory in your face, headache stuff for sure.
And you bet you’ll be smelling that all stinking day long.

And done! I massaged my head and brushed my hair for about 5 minutes straight and here’s the result:
It does give your hair its oomph back and fluffs it somewhat into shape again, but you can’t ignore that white cast especially visible at the roots.
The verdict!
I like the volume it gives (though you do need to use about half a bottle to attain it) and it hasn’t been tested on animals either, so two points for those.
Time to upgrade the formula though!
Come out with a brunette version of this, that provides less fall out, and tone down the smell for Pete’s sake! I smell like Peg Bundy!

  1. love this post! have a nice weekend! :) x

  2. Ooooh, you’ve had a big haircut. It looks gorgeous!
I’m not a fan of dry shampoo. I’m yet to find one that doesn’t have either loads of fall-out/ bad smell/ gross residue. They just don’t seem to work for me.

  3. I love this hairstyle on you! Fabulous!

    • Lori you’re so cheery and sweet! It’s the first time i’ve had a “real” haircut in a looong time and I love the bounce it brought back! Sometimes you just need a pro to come in.

  4. If you are looking for a dry shampoo then I would absolutely recommend batiste dry shampoo if it’s available where you are. The floral fragrance one is my favourite but they have ones for different hair colours and they do tiny bottles to take on holiday or in your handbag. I wouldn’t be without mine!

ps. Love your hairstyle, super cute!

  5. My grandmother was always saying to use corn meal….but who wants to go around smelling like a cornfield?
    Hats are good.

  6. Winter wonderland, whoohoo! Erg jammer dit product, haha :p

  7. If I were a woman, the dandruff stuff it makes would turn me off right away.

  8. Thanks for a great review. I like the look of your hair (it’s anyway a super new hairstyle) but if it smells like Peg, I’m with Al: Strike! :o)

  9. butane… propane.. (jaws movie theme) 0.0
