Black Radiance: Urban Jungle
I got a package and its name is awesome!
Nonpareil sent me another palette, and this time it actually reached me! Nothing short of a miracle.
Apparently packages randomly vanish where I live, someone else here is having good fun with this palette as well!
(They sent this to me to create a look with it, though as you know i’ll show you the quality of this palette straight up, no applying it wet or with primer, no one likes cheats.)
The little foam shapes inside are obviously the best thing about the whole package!!
But okay fine, the palette is also nice.
Black Radiance is from the same mother company as Wet n Wild, and therefore has the same paint-by-number system going on when you flip it over!
As well as the same brow, lid, crease & accent color plan.
(I’m never too sure about the yellow, pink or blue “browbone” shades they suggest!)
O HI Fall! That’s the first thing I thought.
Ta-daa the left row of shadows!
All shimmery shades here, from highlight to accent: a light champagne, golden green, olive brown and warm espresso.
And the right row! Again all shimmers, except for the lid shade.
Same order again: golden yellow, a very warm medium brown, deep forest green with green and gold flecks – and my favorite of the bunch: a blackened burgundy with red yellow AND green flecks in it!

These shadows pack great pigment but have a tendency to get powdery.
On the arm swatches above you can see they look nice when applied dry, but on a lazy day I will probably use the darker shades wet to avoid tons of fallout.
For $7 you get some lovely shades in here, all fit for daily wear and some perfect for evening purposes. What could’ve been better is the slightly powdery texture, and I would’ve liked a matte highlight in there as well!
And they also sent one for you by the way ^_^
It’s just patiently lounging here on my desk, waiting for the other contest to finish and then it’ll be on the market for a loving partner! :D Meanwhile you can also get one for yourself here.
Did you have as much as a facepalm-Monday as me? Some people have such a short fuse!
